Red Raven basketball keeps rolling to start conference play, with the teams completing a doubleheader sweep of the Garden City Broncbusters on the road.
The Lady Ravens were able to claim Game 1 by a final score of 56-48, Coffeyville's defense was able to limit the Garden City offense to just three made 3-point shots, and forced 23 total turnovers.
Freshman Karliey Parker led the team with 21 points, while Karys Washington collected another double-double, finishing with 15 points and 11 rebounds.
The men's team was able to hang on in Game 2 for an 81-78 victory over Garden. Brian Griffith had a team-high 21 points, including two late shots to give the Ravens the win. Rashid Kuta also finished the day with 16 points and eight rebounds.
CCC currently sits at 9-1 and in third place in the conference on the women's side, and 9-2 and in a tie for first place on the men's side. The teams are back at Nellis Hall for games against Cloud County on Wednesday, and Cowley on Saturday.
