It was a successful opening night in conference play for the Red Ravens, as they earn a doubleheader sweep over the Fort Hays Tech Northwest Tigers in Goodland.
The Lady Ravens opened the evening with a dominant 73-37 victory, improving to 6-0 on the season. Coffeyville opened the game leading 32-8 after the first quarter, and held a 26 point lead at the half.
Karys Washington led the team with 16 points, while Aubrey Hishaw had 15 points and eight rebounds as well.
The men earn a hard fought 79-75 win over the Tigers, to improve to 4-2 on the season. The game was back and forth the whole way, with the largest lead of the game just nine points.
Justin Taylor finished with a season high 24 points, while Charles Caporaso had 13 points off the bench.
The Ravens will be back in action on Saturday afternoon against the Colby Trojans, with converage beginning immediately after the football game on US 98.
