A heated conference rivalry has even more at stake when the Red Ravens travel to El Dorado to battle the Butler Grizzlies.
With a win, Coffevyille could force a three-way tie at the top of the KJCCC with Butler and Hutchinson, resulting in co-champions being crowned. It would be the first time Coffeyville has earned a conference championship since 2021.
Head Coach Nick Dobler says the position the team is in has finally begun to set in.
Butler displays one of the best defenses in the nation, led by linebacker Landon Boss and defensive lineman Seven Cloud. Dobler says the team is preparing for a physical battle.
Coffeyville was able to win a thriller against the Grizzlies in 2023, with a game-winning touchdown scored in the final four minutes. Dobler says when his team executes, there's no team they can't hang with.
Coverage of Coffeyville-Butler begins Saturday at 10:30 a.m. CT, with kickoff at 11, on US 98.
