The Red Ravens hold bragging rights in Montgomery County, besting the Independence Pirates 24-7 in the Montgomery County Classic.

 

Steven Robinson rushed for 107 yards on 19 carries, including a 32-yard touchdown run right before halftime to make it 10-0 Ravens at the half.

 

The Raven defense stepped up big in the second half with a pair of fourth quarter touchdowns, a 24-yard interception return by Lonnie Burt and a 24-yard fumble return from KJ Johnson.

 

Coffeyville is 8-2 on the season and have won three games in a row. They will play the Butler Grizzlies next Saturday, with a chance to clinch a share of their first conference championship since 2021.
