KGGF concludes the Player Spotlight Series with a look at two sophomore returners that are expected to be among the league's best this season.
Sophomore point guard Brian Griffith returns to Coffeyville, after averaging 12.3 points per game in his freshman season. Griffith struggled with his shooting early in the season, but took a leap after the winter break and was one of the team's most valuable players.
He is one of three sophomore point guards on the roster. He says that gives the team a chance to have a head start.
Griffith is expected to split time between the point guard spot, as well as a shooting guard role, with the addition of transfer Justin Taylor. Griffith says he feels he and Taylor could be a special duo.
Brian and the Ravens tip off their season tonight at 7 p.m. CT against Moberly Area.
