KGGF continues the Player Spotlight Series with a look at sophomore guard Ava Baker.
Ava is from Louisburg, Kansas, and appeared in ten games in her freshman season, battling a back injury for a good portion of the season.
She joins fellow sophomore returners Karys Washington and Alexis Parker, looking to become leaders of the program this season. Baker says that process started early.
Baker brings an intriguing combination of size and shooting ability, with her 5-foot-10 frame allowing her to be a versatile defender, and her sharpshooting creating danger any given possession for opponents.
Now having worked with Head Coach Tony Turner for a full season, Baker says their relationship has only improved.
Baker and the Ravens open their season on Friday night at 7 p.m. on US 98 and the Red Raven Sports Network.
