Coffeyville Community College rolled to a win on the football field this weekend, and earned a second win off the field.
The Red Ravens earned both their fifth and sixth wins of the 2024 season, after Garden City will forfeit all of their six previous victories, due to an ineligible player.
Coffeyville originally lost to Garden in an overtime thriller, but the Ravens now receive a win to move to 6-2 on the season, and a 2-1 record in conference play.
On the field, CCC dominated in a 72-7 win over Ellsworth. Joseph Vick scored four total touchdowns, starting in place of the injured Chris Arviso. Running backs Charles Morgan, Ma'Kenttis Adams, and De'Andre Kelly combined for 307 rushing yards and five touchdowns on 31 carries.
Coffeyville stays in conference championship contention, and will host Dodge City at home on Saturday afternoon. Coverage begins at 12:30 p.m. with kickoff at 1 on the home for Red Raven Sports, US 98.
