The Kansas City Chiefs are nearing a blockbuster move to improve their wide receiver room.

 

Kansas City is nearing an agreement with the Tennessee Titans to acquire wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins, in exchange for a conditional fourth-round pick.

 

NFL Insider Ian Rappaport says this came together very quickly.

 

Hopkins is a 12-year veteran in the NFL, and has made the Pro Bowl five times. He spent the first seven seasons of his career in Houston, before three seasons with the Arizona Cardinals. He was in his second season with the Titans.

 

Hopkins will be asked to be a leading receiver immediatley with injuries to Rashee Rice and Hollywood Brown, and underwhelming production from Travis Kelce. The trade is expected to be completed today.
