The Kansas Jayhawks are looking for more success on the field after their bye week, following a tough 1-5 start.

 

KU has had trouble closing close games, with a majority of their losses by one score. Head Coach Lance Leipold says the numbers show the team is better than the record.

 

Jalon Daniels has had struggles in his return from injury, and the team as a whole has battled inconsistencies for most of the year.

 

Leipold says there are a few details the team will need to iron out moving forward.

 

The Jayhawks host the Houston Cougars on Saturday, with former Coffeyville defensive coordinator Willie Fritz in his first season coaching Houston. Coverage begins at 1 p.m. on Greatest Hits 104.1.
