Labette County holds off Coffeyville on Homecoming Night with a 13-6 win.
The Grizzlies got things started quickly going 92-yards in six plays capped off by a 60-yard touchdown run by Jamaal Jackson, who had all 92-yards on five carries. Despite the quick start both teams would slow things down heading to the half with LCHS leading 7-0.
The Grizzlies would recover the opening kick-off of the second half after it bounced off a Nado player. LCHS would capitalize on the stolen possession as QB Aaron Wyrick would find WR Keagan Bates on a 10-yard touchdown. The Nado would get on the board on their first play of the next drive as RB Aaron Tunstall would take it 65-yards for the touchdown. The Nado's defense would continue to hold the Grizzlies offense keeping it a one score game but the Nado couldn't find the endzone again.
Jackson finished with 32 carries for 145 yards and one touchdown. Tunstall had 192 yards on 15 carries and a touchdown. QB Axel Erne was 7/22 for 97 yards and two interceptions.
