The memorable ride of the 2024 season for the Kansas City Royals has come to an end.
Kansas City was eliminated in the Division Series, coming up short to the New York Yankees in four games.
The Royals are the first team in MLB history to win a postseason series the year after losing 100 games. Manager Matt Quatraro says despite the remarkable turnaround, they still came up short.
The future is bright for the boys in blue, with Bobby Witt Jr a global star and Salvador Perez a valuable leader in the clubhouse and on the field. Quatraro says the organization relies on those two as leaders.
Kansas City will have plenty of financial flexibility to improve the roster in the offseason, and chase a division title in 2025. The Royals open the 2025 season on March 27th against the Cleveland Guardians at Kauffman Stadium.
