Pair of Ravens Named Conference Players of Week

 

The strong week for Raven football continues, with a pair of players named to the KJCCC Players of the Week.

 

Quarterback Chris Arviso was named the Offensive Player of the Week in his second career start, throwing for 236 yards and two touchdown passes, while putting up 33 points against the top ranked defense in the nation.

 

Linebacker Khmari Johnson was named the Defensive Player of the Week in the victory as well, tallying nine tackles, one sack, 1.5 tackles for loss, and an interception. It was the first career start for Johnson at middle linebacker, sliding over from his traditionial outside linebacker.

 

Punter Brady Braun also was an Honorable Mention for the Special Teams Player of the Week. Arviso and Johnson are the second and third Ravens to win Player of the Week honors this season, joining kicker Roan McCarthy.
