The blue October continues for the Kansas City Royals, advancing to the American League Division Series.

 

Kansas City completed a two-game sweep of the Baltimore Orioles in the Wild Card round, winning the clinching game 2-1. Lucas Erceg got the final strikeout that sent Kansas City to the next round.

 

The Royals are the first team in MLB history to win a playoff series the season after losing 100 games. They will battle the New York Yankees for a trip to the ALCS.
