Dozens participated as the Red Raven baseball team hosted a walk for mental health awareness.
The entire CCC baseball roster, as well as community members, met at Walter Johnson Park yesterday to embark on a 2.3 mile walk, to honor former Red Raven Conner Taylor. Taylor wore the #23 while a baseball player at CCC, before tragically taking his own life in 2016.
In addition to the walk honoring Conner, September is also National Suicide Prevention Month, in which the Red Ravens wanted to spread awareness for mental illness.
CCC baseball has hosted numerous events to remember the life of Taylor, including having an annual Conner Taylor Day game during the regular season.
