The Red Ravens received an unexpected bye week after the Butler game was postponed, and now aim to get back in the win column this week.

 

CCC travels on the road to battle the defending national champions in Iowa Western. Coffeyville lost a hard fought battle in overtime to Garden City in their conference opener, dropping to 2-1 on the season.

 

Defensive back Cyler Christmas says the team believes in each other to respond.

 

An impact player for the Raven defense has been freshman linebacker Lonnie Burt, who has played a majority of snaps this season. He says the defense has to trust each other, and do their jobs.

 

The Ravens fell to Iowa Western last season in early November, dropping the game 20-17 after giving the Reivers one of their toughest battles of the season.
