Nearly a full month into the college football season, the Jayhawk conference boasts the No. 1 team in the nation, and four total teams ranked.
Hutchinson remains the unanimous top team in the nation, after escaping Iowa Central in overtime, 33-30. The Blue Dragons have opened the season with three impressive wins over Central, Iowa Western, and New Mexico Military.
The Highland Scotties earn their highest rankings since joining the KJCCC in 1996, slotting at No. 8 in the nation. Highland had their second shutout of the season, beating Ellsworth 21-0 on Saturday. The Scottie defense has allowed only 13 points on the season, ranking first in the country in opponent points per game.
Garden City moves up to No. 11 after an overtime win over Coffeyville on the road. The Ravens' Week 4 opponent, the Butler Grizzlies, is the fourth and final KJCCC team in the rankings, moving up to No. 14.
