Pacheco Suffers Broken Leg

The Chiefs will be without one of their top offensive weapons for the extended future.

Running back Isiah Pacheco is being place on injured reserve, and will miss at least the next four games, after suffering a fractured fibula late in the win over the Bengals.

Pacheco underwent x-rays on Sunday night, and will have an MRI this afternoon to determine further ligament damage to the right ankle. Pacheco left Arrowhead Stadium on crutches and in a walking boot.

ESPNs Dan Orlovsky says the Chiefs still have the pieces in place to survive without Pacheco.

Pacheco has led the team in rushing each of the past two seasons, and had rushed for 135 yards thus far in 2024. Rookie Carson Steele, Samaje Perine, and former first-round pick Clyde Edwards-Helaire will be tasked with stepping up for the next 2-3 months.
