Another Chiefs-Bengals game came down to the wire, and again, Harrison Butker delivered in the clutch for Kansas City.
Butker drilled a 51-yard kick to edge Cincinnati 26-25 at GEHA Field at Arrowhead.
Patrick Mahomes had an uncharacteristic slow day, throwing for 151 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions. Kansas City was able to keep the final drive alive on a costly pass interference penalty on a 4th and 16 play that extended the drive.
It was not a perfect afternoon for Kansas City, as the offensive line struggled to block Trey Hendrickson, and running back Isaih Pacheco left in the final minute with an injury.
The Chiefs are 2-0, and will head on the road for the first time this season, to battle the Falcons in Atlanta.
