Ravens Fall in OT to Garden City

Coffeyville left the field heartbroken, after an overtime defeat to the Garden City Broncbusters.

The Ravens jumped out to a 14-3 lead in the opening quarter, scoring on each of their first two drives. Redshirt freshman Carson Creehan got the start, completing 16 of 29 passes for 161 yards, one touchdown and one interception.

CCC struggled offensively in the second half, failing to score any points after 23 points in the first half. The Ravens had a chance to win the game at the end of regulation, but could not convert on a 44-yard field goal.

In overtime, Creehan exited the game due to injury, and Joseph Vick entered in his place. Vick's first pass was underthrown and intercepted, resulting in the game-winning touchdown for Garden City.

The Ravens suffer their first loss of 2024, and fall to 2-1 on the season. They will travel to El Dorado to battle Butler on Saturday night.
