Field Kindley falls to 0-2 with a 34-7 loss to Chanute.

 

It was a combination of not being able to get things going offensively and not being able to stop the run defensively that plagued the Nado in their second game. The Nado stalled on their first drive of the game after picking up two first downs. Quinton Harding had a 40 yard punt return setting Chanute up with a first and ten on the Nado 37. It took the Blue Comets two plays a 26 yard run by Harding and an 11 yard run by Elliot Stephenson to strike first taking the 7-0.

 

Both teams would go quiet offensively until the final two minutes of the half as Chanute scored twice in 10 seconds thanks to a recovered kick-off. The Nado trailed 20-0 at the break. Coffeyville finally got on the board with a touchdown reception by Damaris Smith but two more Blue Comet touchdowns would put the game away.

 

The Blue Comets run for 214 yards and four touchdowns. Harding had 116 yards on 15 carries with two touchdowns. The Nado head on the road to take on Emporia still looking for their first win.
