Nado Host Chanute in Home Opener

Field Kindley looks to bounce back after a week-one loss as they return home to take on Chanute. The Blue Comets started their season with a 35-25 victory over Augusta, while the Nado fell 40-7 at Circle. Head Coach Deonta Wade says the score made the game look worse than it was.

The Nado gave up over 250 yards rushing against the Thunderbirds. Coffeyville will face a talented back in Quinton Harding, who ran for over 1,400 yards and 17 touchdowns in 2023. Harding ran for 97 yards and one score in week one. The Nado have their own talented back in Aaron Tunstall, who ran for over 140 yards in week one and had Coffeyville's only touchdown. Coach Wade says having a back like Tunstall helps their defense prepare to face a talented running back.

Coach Wade is 1-3 against Chanute, with the one win coming at home in his first season as head coach in 2020. The Nado look to end the streak of three straight losses with a win tonight. Pregame starts at 6:30pm with kick-off at 7:00pm on Sonshine 98.9 KQQF.
