The Red Ravens took full advantage of a business trip down to Texas, returning home with a 37-19 win over the Cisco Wranglers.
Coffeyville jumped out to an early 24-6 advantage, courtesy of touchdown runs from Steven Robinson and Tre Jones, and a passing touchdown from Joseph Vick.
The Raven defense made big plays throughout the afternoon as well, as the team had five sacks, two interceptions, and a forced fumble. Sophomore corner Cyler Christmas had a 30-yard interception return for a touchdown to seal the win late.
Freshman kicker Roan McCarthy was 4-4 on extra points, and 3-3 on field goals. His 57-yard field goal in the third quarter ties a Red Raven record, set by Forrest Taylor in 2022.
The Ravens are 2-0 and at the top of the conference with Hutchinson and Highland. CCC returns home to battle Garden City next Saturday night.
