Chargers Rally to Best Blue Streaks

The Cherryvale Chargers scored 20 unanswered points in the 4th quarter to rally for an opening night win.

The mmajority of the game was a defensive battle, which saw each team step up and make key turnovers and plays when it mattered most.

Freshman quarterback Tayte Leck found sophomore Cole Ramey for a 4-yard touchdown to give Neodesha a 7-0 lead in the 1st quarter.

That remained the score until the 4th, when the Chargers forced four turnovers and scored three touchdowns. Junior quarterback Reese Booe accounted for all three, with two rushing scores and a 30-yard passing touchdown to Brycen Raida.

Cherryvale will face the Humboldt Cubs in Week 2, while Neodesha looks to rebound with Bluestem. The next KGGF Game of the Week features the Erie Red Devils and the Caney Bullpups.
