Red Raven football kicks off the 2024 regular season tonight, traveling to Salina to battle the Kansas Wesleyan JV Coyotes.

 

The Ravens are led by first year head coach Nick Dobler, who takes over the program following four seasons as the defensive coordinator. He says he's already received support from a former Red Raven head coach.

 

CCC returns key leaders on both sides of the ball, with running back Tre Jones, tight end Brec Long, and wide receiver Bryce Bonner among the returners on offense. Defensive lineman Alijah Brown, linebacker Khmari Johnson, and corner Cyler Christmas are a few of the returners on defense.

 

There will be a new starting quarterback for the Ravens this season. Dobler says, however, there will be two different guys getting snaps tonight.

 

Coffeyville traveled to Salina last October, winning the game 68-3 in the first ever matchup between the two schools. Coverage of tonight's season opener begins at 5:30 p.m. CT with kickoff at 6 on the home for Red Raven sports, US 98.
