The Chiefs dropped their second preseason game to the Detroit Lions 24-23, but it was one throw by Patrick Mahomes that was the talk of the NFL.
Mahomes threw a ball behind his back to Travis Kelce, a play that resulted in a first down. Mahomes says the play wasn't intentional, and was the result of a bad route.
Kelce gave his side of the story after the game. He says there may have been some miscommunication in the huddle.
The starters played about one quarter for Kansas City in the loss. Former Tulsa star running back Deneric Prince had 47 yards rushing, while first round pick Xavier Worthy caught his first touchdown pass.
The Chiefs wrap up their preseason games with a matchup with the Chicago Bears on Thursday.
