One of the schools in the KJCCC is undergoing major changes to their name and branding.

 

Northwest Kansas Tech has officially rebranded to Fort Hays Tech Northwest, following the approval of a Change of Control application filed earlier this year. Under the agreement, Fort Hays State University, Northwest Kansas Technical College, and North Central Kansas Technical College, will unite under the Fort Hays banner to better serve the region.

 

Along with the renaming of the university, there will be changes to athletics at the college as well. All 14 teams on the Goodland campus will now be known as the Fort Hays Tech Northwest Tigers, and will change their color scheme to black and gold, moving away from the previous red, black, and white colors.

 

The school will continue to compete within the NJCAA, as well as maintain their status in both Region VI and the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference.
