High school football is less than a month away, and the Field Kindley Golden Tornado are hard at work in practice.

 

The Nado are hoping to build off a 6-4 season in 2023, which ended in a second-round playoff loss to Wellington.

 

The team is led by head coach Deonta Wade, who enters his fifth season at the helm of the program. He says the team is motivated to grow from last season's finish.

 

Field Kindley does display exciting senior leadership, with running back Aaron Tunstall, quarterback Axel Ernie, wide receiver and defensive back Ke'Shawn Hayes, and offensive tackle Keiton Jones, among others. Wade says the team has been aiming to get faster and stronger this season.

 

The Nado will participate in the annual Jamboree with Caney and Independence on August 30th, and open the 2024 season against Towanda Circle on September 6th.
