Former KState QB Signs with Jets

A former Wildcat star quarterback is heading back to the NFL.

Former KSU and Nebraska signal caller Adrian Martinez has agreed to a training camp contract with the New York Jets.

Martinez signed with the Detroit Lions as an undrafted free agent after the 2023 NFL Draft, but after not making the team after preseason, signed with the Birmingham Stallions of the United Football League.

Martinez shined in the UFL, winning the regular season MVP, and finishing first in rushing yards, third in passing yards, and second in passing touchdowns. His 18 total touchdowns also tied for the most in the league.

Martinez and the Stallions would win the UFL Championship game, and set up the former Wildcat for his next opportunity to make it in the NFL.
