Vinnie Pasquantino homered twice, Seth Lugo gave up four hits over eight innings and the Kansas City Royals beat the Detroit Tigers 7-1 last night.

 Bobby Witt Jr. also homered for the Royals, who are 4-0 on their current road trip.

 Lugo, who improved to 13-5 on the season, only gave up one run. He is 7-0 with a 1.31 ERA in nine starts against the AL Central this season.

 Witt and Pasquantino hit back-to-back homers in the eighth off Brenan Hanifee. It was Pasquantino's first multi-homer game.

 The teams play again tonight. It should be a very good pitching matchup, as the Tigers Tarik Skubal, who is 12-3 with a 2.35 ERA, faces Cole Ragans, who is pitching much better than his 7-7 record, 3.37 ERA would indicate. We'll join the games in progress at 6:00 on the Mighty 690 KGGF.
