The Royals came out of the All-Star break red hot, sweeping the Chicago White Sox at Kauffman Stadium.

 

Seth Lugo picked up his 12th win of the season, becoming the first Royals pitcher to go a full nine innings while allowing one run or less since 2020.

 

He says he's always looking to go the distance.

 

Lugo followed outstanding performances by Michael Wacha and Brady Singer in the series sweep. He says he was hoping to build off of the momentum.

 

Kansas City is 55-45 on the season, and hold the final playoff spot in the American League. They begin a series tonight against the Arizona Diamondbacks, with coverage beginning at 6:30 on the Mighty 690, KGGF.
