Chiefs Sign Former D2 Star

A Division II football star has signed with the Kansas City Chiefs.

Former Slippery Rock University star receiver Kyle Sheets has officially agreed to a deal with the back-to-back Super Bowl champions.

Sheets was a first-team All-American last season at SRU, compiling 76 catches for nearly 1,200 yards and 17 touchdowns. The 17 scores ranked Top 10 across all college football divisions.

Sheets is a two-time All-Pennsylvania State Athleteic Conference first-teamer. He ranks fourth in school history in receiving yards with nearly 2,500, and third in school history in touchdowns with 29.

The Chiefs are looking to replace the losses of Mecole Hardman and Marques Valdez-Scantling, adding Hollywood Brown and rookie Xavier Worthy. The team is also still awaiting a potential Rashee Rice suspension.
