Bartlesville HS Alum Drafted by Twins

A former Bartlesville High Bruin had his name called during the 2024 MLB Draft.

Right-handed pitcher Jakob Hall was selected in the eighth round of the draft by the Minnesota Twins, out of Oral Roberts University.

Hall was the leader of the ORU pitching staff the past two seasons, emerging as a national name during the 2023 run to the College World Series.

He was also historically dominant for the Bruins in his senior season, pitching 62 innings with a 0.56 earned run average and 110 strikeouts to just six walks.

Bruins head baseball coach Cody Price says hard work and dedication leads to these kind of opportunities.

Hall is the first Bruin to be drafted since James Teague in 2016, when he was selected by the Baltimore Orioles in the 37th round out of Arkansas.
