One of the bright young stars of boxing has been expelled from the World Boxing Council.

 

Ryan Garcia, a 25 year old lightweight fighter, who has stood in the ring for some of the top bouts in the recent history of the sport, was banned from any activity with the WBC.

 

ESPN's Gary Striewski details the reasoning for Garcia's ban.

 

Garcia has been one of the sport's biggest names for years, battling Gervonta Davis and Devin Haney in recent main card fights.
