Former Kansas HS Coach Named Youngest Head Coach in FBS

A former Kansas high school coach has been named the youngest head coach in the FBS.

Utah State has named Nate Dreiling their interim head football coach, following the dismissal of coach Blake Anderson. Dreiling is only 33 years old, and is in his first season with the Aggies.

Dreiling was a four-time All-American linebacker at Pitt State, after playing high school football at Hutchinson. He helped lead the Gorillas to the 2011 NCAA Division II National Championship.

The coaching career of Dreiling has taken him to many stops. He served as a high school coach at Humboldt, before moving to the collegiate level, and serving as an assistant at Southeast Missouri State and Pittsburg State.

Before joining Utah State this year, he served as the defensive coordinator at New Mexico State, where he led a transformation to a nationally recognized defensive unit, among the nation's leaders in forced turnovers.
