Summer classes come to a close this week at Coffeyville Community College, and with that, the end of summer practices for Lady Raven basketball.

 

Approximately half of the roster has been on campus this month, participating in workouts and light practices in order to get to know new teammates.

 

Head coach Tony Turner says the group has made a strong first impression.

 

One of the key returners for this year's team is sophomore Alexis Parker. Already having been voted a captain of the team, Parker says she hopes to improve the team's overall communication.

 

The Lady Ravens have had to replace many departing sophomores from last year's team, resulting in plenty of new faces. Turner says the goal was to find players that fit in with the Raven way.

 

The Lady Ravens will move back to campus in August, and begin official fall practice on August 16th.
