Kansas Kid a Hero in College World Series

A Kansas kid saves the College World Series for Tennessee.

The Volunteers were already down a game in the Best of 3 Championship Series with Texas A&M, and trailed 1-0 in the 7th inning of Game 2. When the chances of a national championship seemed grim, outfielder Dylan Dreiling delivered a game-winning 2-run home run to give Tennessee the win.

Dreiling is from Hays, Kansas, and has been one of the most productive hitters in the Volunteers lineup this season. The sophomore is hitting .336 on the year, with 22 home runs and 72 runs batted in. He leads the team in both batting average and RBIs during the College World Series.

Dreiling was named the 5A state baseball player of the year in 2022, and now looks to lead Tennessee to their first national championship in program history. The winner-take-all Game 3 is tonight at 6 on ESPN.
