Royals Plan to be Aggressive at Deadline

The Royals are chasing their first playoff appearance and winning record since the 2015 World Series championship.

Kansas City got off to a red hot start in 2024, exceeding expectations led by a stable starting rotation, and the emergence to superstar status for shortstop Bobby Witt Jr.

General Manager J.J. Picollo says the front office is already looking to add pieces to the team.

The Royals currently sit a half game out of the third final Wild Card spot in the American League, looking to earn a trip to October over fellow challengers in the Red Sox, Twins, Astros, and Rangers. Picollo says the organization wants to go all in.

Kansas City is back at Kauffman Stadium tonight to begin a series with the Miami Marlins. Cole Ragans gets the ball, looking for his fifth win of the season. Coverage begins at 6:30 tonight on the Mighty 690, KGGF.
