Several members of the Kansas Jayhawks and Kansas State Wildcats have been named to the Athlon Sports Preseason All-Conference team.
Both quarterback Jalon Daniels and cornerback Cobee Bryant were named 1st-Team all-conference. The seniors each decided to return to Lawrence, hoping to lead the Jayhawks to their first conference championship since 1968.
Jayhawks on the 2nd-Team include running back Devin Neal, wide receiver Lawerence Arnold, offensive lineman Michael Ford, defensive lineman Jerome Robinson, and corner Mello Dotson.
Wildcats to make the 2nd-Team all-conference list are running back DJ Giddens, defensive lineman Brendan Mott, linebacker Austin Moore, and safety Marques Sigle.
Both the Jayhawks and Wildcats are considered Top 5 teams in the conference on the football field, and will be in prime contention for the Big 12 conference championship, and a berth to the College Football Playoff.
