A tough week for the Kansas City Royals continues, falling 5-1 to the Oakland Athletics.

 

Cole Ragans allowed two runs in six innings of work. The bullpen had a rough night, however, allowing three runs in two innings.

 

Manager Matt Quatraro says Oakland took advantage of the opportunities they were given.

 

Bobby Witt Jr had an RBI double in the fifth inning for the only run of the night, but the team struggled offesnviely, leaving eight runners on base on the night.

 

Quatraro says the team has to find a way to get back on track.

 

The Royals are desperate for a win in the series finale today, with Seth Lugo on the mound looking for his 11th win of the season. Coverage begins at 2 p.m. this afternoon on Sonshine 98.9 KQQF.
