Members of the Red Raven basketball team are back on campus, spending time on the court to prepare for the season.

 

CCC has a portion of the roster in town this month, participating in daily workouts and practices, as well as becoming familiar with new players. Returning sophomore Brian Griffith says the team is off to a strong start.

 

Another returner from last year's roster is center Charles Caparaso. Caparaso became a key part of the rotation in the second half of the season, and he says building a routine helped him find a groove.

 

Like every freshman in college athletics, Griffith had highs and lows throughout his first season with the Ravens. He says a lesson he's learned is to not dwell on mistakes.

 

CCC will look to sophomore leadership to lead the incoming freshmen and transfers. Caparaso says he has a great relationship with the entire coaching staff.

 

The Ravens will continue practicing until the end of the month, and will move onto campus full time in early August.
