Youth basketball players from around the area are improving their skills at the Camp of Champions.

 

The camp is organized by CCC men's basketball coach Jay Herkelman, with help from his players and staff. The goal of the camp is to motivate young basketball players to stick with the sport.

 

15-year old Rayvon says he's enjoyed one of the camp's competitive games.

 

Herkelman has been running the Camp of Champions since he began coaching in Coffeyville. 11-year old Bentley says it's been a good time learning from the Hall of Famer.

 

Many campers are improving skills such as passing, shooting and teamwork. Rayvon says he's learned a lot about the fundamentals.

 

The Camp of Champions continues through Thursday from Nellis Hall.
