A trial date for the first lawsuit against Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice has been set.
The first civil suit will begin trial on December 9th, 2024, in the 101st Civil District Court of Dallas, Texas. The suit is for over $1 million, and is pertaining to the March accident that caused numerous injuries.
The lawsuit is one of two civil lawsuits against Rice and former SMU teammate Theodore Knox.
According to police record, Rice was driving 119 miles per hour on a Dallas freeway, while Knox was driving 116 miles per hour in the Corvette behind Rice.
Rice requested both lawsuits be dismissed earlier this month.
The trial would begin hours after the Chiefs play the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday Night Football.
