The Women's Basketball National Tournament for the NJCAA Division 1 Championship will be moving locations after next year.
The NJCAA has agreed to a deal with Lake Charles, Louisiana and McNeese State University to host the National Tournament in 2026, 2027, and 2028. This is the first time Lake Charles and McNeese State have hosted an NJCAA event.
The tournament will be played at the Legacy Center, on the McNeese State campus, and is a $36 million, 142,000 square-foot arena, home to both basketball and volleyball at the university.
Lake Charles is the fifth-most populous city in Louisiana, located about 30 miles from the Gulf of Mexico.
The 2025 National Tournament will be in Casper, Wyoming, the same location as the tournament this March.
