Former Raven National Champ Commits to Western Kentucky

A major piece of the 2021 Red Raven national championship team has transferred to Western Kentucky.

Center Blaise Keita signed with WKU earlier this week, following two seasons at Nebraksa. Keita is recovering from a foot injury that cost him his season a year ago.

He says health is a major goal for him moving forward.

Keita was the KJCCC Freshman of the Year, averaging 10 points, eight rebounds, and two blocks per game as a starter on the championship team. He says he's thankful for his time with the Red Ravens.

Keita is one of the most talented centers Jay Herkelman has coached in his 29 seasons. Herkelman says Keita has a chance to make a big impact next season.

Keita was a Top-5 JUCO recruit in the country when he left Coffeyville, and is an experienced presence for the Hilltoppers, who can make an impact on both sides of the ball.
