A Field Kindley senior aims to take advantage of his final track and field meet by finishing on top of the state.

 

Kainen White advanced to the state meet in both the shot put and discus throw. He says he enjoys the competition, but doesn't allow it to make him nervous.

 

White was named Region champion in both events following last week's regionals. He says there's a slightly different method of preparation for each event.

 

Field Kindley is sending 13 total athletes to the state meet in Wichita this weekend. White says he has lofty expectations for both himself and the team.

 

White is making his third appearance in the state meet, and is the top ranked 4A athlete in the state in both events. KGGF will continue coverage with different members of the FKHS track and field team leading up to the state meet.
