Wildcats Land Talented Transfer Guard

Jerome Tang and the Wildcats add another player in the transfer portal, landing guard Max Jones from Cal State-Fullerton.

Following the offseason losses of guards Dai Dai Ames, RJ Jones, and Arthur Kaluma, the Wildcats were in desperate need of a guard that can score.

Jones chose KSU over Louisville and Texas Tech, and brings both experience and talent.

The 6-foot-4 guard averaged 15 points per game for the Titans last season, shooting nearly 40% from beyond the arc. Prior to CSU-Fullerton, Jones spent two seasons at Division 2 Tampa where he was named Sunshine State Conference Freshman of the Year.

Jones is the fifth player added from the portal, joining Baye Fall, Dug McDaniel, CJ Jones, and Brendan Hausen. The Wildcats still have four open scholarship spots for next year's team.
