Former Kansas Top Prospect Enters Portal

The former top-rated high school football player in the state of Kansas has entered the transfer portal.

Derby native Dylan Edwards has announced his intent to transfer after one season with the Colorado Buffaloes. Edwards is a former four-star recruit and was the highest ranked high school player in the state in 2023.

Edwards was originally committed to Kansas State, but flipped to Colorado when coach Deion Sanders was hired.

On3's Pete Nakos says the Wildcats and Jayhawks may be once again involved for Edwards.

Edwards became a household name quickly in his freshman season, scoring four touchdowns in a Week 1 win over TCU. He will have three seasons of eligibility remaining.
