A senior at Labette County High School will play one final game in her high school career.
Kayton O'Brien has been invited to play in the Kansas Basketball Coaches Association All-Star Game. LCHS head basketball coach Brianna Volmer says it's an exciting accomplishment.
O'Brien was a unanimous first-team All SEK selection, as well as leading the Grizzlies in points, assists, and steals. She says she's excited to make a final memory in her high school career.
Kayton and the Grizzlies won the sub-state championship and advanced to the state tournament, posting a 16-7 season. O'Brien says the team was extremely close, both on and off the court.
Along with the KBCA All-Star Game invite, Kayton was also named third-team all-state earlier this month. The game takes place on June 22nd at Kansas Wesleyan in Salina.
