Legendary Royals Manager Passes Away at 92

A legendary member of the Kansas City Royals organization passed away earlier this week.

Former manager Whitey Herzog led the Royals to three straight American League Championship Series from 1976-1978, falling short in all three to the New York Yankees.

Herzog would win the 1982 World Series championship with the St. Louis Cardinals.

MLB Network's Bob Costas says Herzog is regarded as one of the all-time best.

Herzog was the skipper of the Royals for five seasons, posting winning records each year, and three 90+ win seasons.
