The first conference win of the season for the Red Raven softball team came in exciting fashion.

 

The team earned a walk-off win over Neosho County, 6-5, in the second game of a doubleheader on Saturday. Freshman Aliyah Thompson was the hero, delivering a game-winning single in the seventh inning.

 

Aidan Marks had the call of the hit that won the game.

 

It is a morale boosting victory for a team featuring plenty of youth and inexperience. The team will look to build on momentum with four road games this week, against Allen County on Thursday and Hesston College on Saturday.
